I’m what?!
This morning I took a home pregnancy test. I watched the dye go across the panel and I saw pink. The control line came up dark pink, and within 45 seconds the 2nd pink line showed up! I looked at in disbelief as I waited for the rest of the 3 minute time slot to pass…and started to cry. I couldn’t believe it!
I’m pregnant!
This is an unplanned pregnancy, but welcome. God has plans for us, and our baby too.

Pregnancy Reflections
First Month
I started thinking I might be pregnant when: On July 23rd. I had a really funky metallic taste in my mouth, then it returned again on the following Monday, and has been coming off and on since. Not to mention the fact I was nauseated and really sore, so I began to wonder. |
I found out I was pregnant when I: Bought a pregnancy test, and waited two days to take it. I was really sore, and nauseous, and had gotten up twice in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. That isn’t like me, so when I finally got some decent sleep and awoke again, my husband went to walk our dog and I took the test. |
I felt: Shock and amazed! I couldn’t believe it…I never imagined that we’d get pregnant this soon in our new marriage…or anytime relatively soon after we’d decide to try for children, and there it was…a BIG FAT POSITIVE! I cried. I was happy, scared, anxious, you name it and I was feeling it! |
The first person I told was: My husband, and then the dog! |
They reacted by: Almost crying. |
My baby will be born: Estimated Due Date: April 1st or 6th 2008 more than likely at Lynchburg Baptist Hospital |
The strangest symptom of pregnancy I had this month was: Metallic taste in mouth, yuke! |
My hopes: To deliver to term a happy and healthy baby. |
My fears: That the first ultrasound won’t reveal a heartbeat. |
